Today was Whitney's memorial service. It was absolutely perfect. We had originally planned on doing a memorial service at our church, but as the time got closer, I was just feeling more and more anxious about it. So we decided just to do something small with our family right now and later we will do something with our friends. Last night, I asked our parents and family to write a letter or poem to Whitney and we would read them at the memorial service. So this morning, mom and I got up and went to the store to get some pink balloons for us to release. Then, we all headed out to a park by our house. We found a beautiful spot by the lake and spread out our picnic blankets. We read our letters, and Sean and I read a couple of verses. We took some time to remember what we loved about Whitney and talk about the things that we would miss. Then, we released all the pink balloons. It was so beautiful and absolutely perfect.
