Tonight, I had the honor of attending a "Dreams and Dessert" even for a brand new pregnancy resource center. They are in a rural town, and the center is in its very beginning stages. There were about 40 people there, which is great for such a small town! They are located in the heart of one of a county that holds our nation's highest teen pregnancy rate. It was a great evening. We even had the mobile unit out there, since we will be coming alongside them with our ultrasounds. During the program, an amazing woman shared her personal testimony and experience of how abortion has affected her life, and how the after abortion bible study has helped her-- she just started it two months ago. This woman is 80 years old. In fact, tonight was her 80th birthday. For more than 60 years, she has carried with her the guilt, shame and pain of her abortion. SIXTY YEARS. Most of us can't imagine what it would be like to even live sixty years, let alone carry such a heavy burden that many. Sixty years. And to hear her so courageously share her story of healing and redemption... of course God had already forgiven her long ago, but by walking through this healing process the past two months, she has taken a foothold right out from under Satan. I praise God that she no longer has to live with this burden, and has truly been set free!
